This is the story of Robert’s parents and of parents of every underprivileged child with congenital heart disease (CHD) in India.

Robert’s parents went from pillar to post in search of treatment for him and were discouraged in every possible way.

Some said –

Don’t do surgery, it’s a huge risk…this will get resolved on its own.
Treatment is available only in Chennai and it is very expensive!

Though he was diagnosed of CHD at 6 months of age, he wasn’t treated till he was 11 years old.

In September 2017, they met us at a screening camp, and after our counselling session, the couple’s fear and anxiety was put to rest.

Their hearts filled with hope, they decided to come to Madurai for Robert’s treatment.

Dr. Gopi successfully operated on Robert last on 3rd October 2017 and we have a very happy and relieved family with us!
