15-year-old Kannan was diagnosed with CHD at the age of 2 years. Due to lack of awareness and procedures, his parents had to fight against odds in keeping Kannan in good health and shape. Despite, all efforts, the teen had to drop out school while in his 8th grade due to often sickness and weakness. Belonging to Keelakuilkudi Village in Madurai district, relatives of Kannan had come across the LMHF camp details which featured a free screening and testing for CHD. There he was diagnosed by Dr.Gopi Nallaiyan and was scheduled for surgery yesterday.

Kannan was scheduled for surgery on December 8th, 2016. Team LMHF gleams with happiness towards second successful surgery under save a little heart program.

He is recovering now and will soon be able to lead a normal healthy life. A big shout out to all the kind hearts who have donated and prayed for him.
